Shoot to Thrill – Stag Weekends for the Adrenaline Junkie

When you leave the UK with your mates on a Europe Stag Weekend to say, Budapest or Krakow, two of the hottest stag weekend destinations you aren’t just leaving behind your wives, girlfriends, work and family for a weekend’s fun. You’re also leaving behind British gun laws!!!

Get your hands on the spy film sounding .45 Heckler and Koch, the .357 Magnum, the Hungarian F…G B9R, the Czech CZ 75, the Jericho 9mm and the Glock-17. Load them up and shoot’em. Of course you’ll receive full safety instructions and brief introductions to each handgun’s use and history, then you split into groups of four for some high-calibre target practice firing off approximately 70 rounds. There is a competition to finish.

You can shoot a variety of packages with guns particular to Russian guns, Police guns, rifles, or a mix. Also, we offer a variety of bullets from 30-100 for beginner or those wanting to try it without spending much up to those wanting to try it all. They can always purchase more rounds on site if they enjoy it at a low cost.

It gets better. If you go on a professionally organised stag weekend to Krakow not only can you let rip with a range of pistols and even a pump-action shotgun as part of your shooting activity, but there’s even a Kalashnikov AK47 package. Off limits in the UK you and your mates have the rare chance to experience the power and the thrill of a fully automatic weapon.

In addition to shooting real guns at inanimate targets there are many opportunities to shoot replica guns at each other in the form of Paintball and the illegal in the UK Airsoft. Airsoft competitors not only receive Airsoft pistols and smoke grenades but also 1000 bullets. Dressed to kill in full uniforms and protective gear with two-way radios for communication you’ll receive professional instruction and the avid support of a lovely local guide. Lots and lots of shooting tales to be shared around a spit roasted pig washed down with delicious local beer once peace has been restored.

If shooting’s not your thing there are plenty of other action packed activities to enjoy on a stag weekend in Europe. As well as more relaxed gun laws Eastern Europe offers other non-British advantages – plenty of snow in winter, for example. Snowmobiles offer an unforgettable way to discover the Tatras, one of Poland’s most breathtaking mountain regions. There’s also snow rafting and in warmer months white water rafting on the Dunajec River. Talking of watersports – waterskiing, jetskiing and wakeboarding are also all available as part of many professionally organised stag packages – all with appropriate equipment, professional instructors, safety training and even a lovely local guide.

Petrol heads – You can race 200cc karts right to the limit on Budapest’s 820 metre outdoor circuit with speeds of 40 mph or go Quadbike racing in the scenic countryside around the city. Experience the mud, sweat and tears of all-weather quad biking on a purpose-built racetrack. However, the mother of all stag weekend driving activities has to be the Budapest Banger Racing and Crash Derby where you get to race and smash up a load of souped-up racing Trabants, It’s the real deal – each person participates at their own risk and is obliged to sign a waver before the race, so make sure you’re ready to take your life in your hands before you get behind the wheel.

There’s clearly a lot more to Krakow stag weekends and stag weekends in Budapest than just turning up and drinking the local bar dry – especially for those who like a bit of adventure.

Five Essential Tips to Booking a Stag Weekend in Eastern Europe

When booking your stag weekend in Eastern Europe, you want to make it an occasion to remember: it’s your last moments of freedom and you want to have fun with your mates. Organising a wild weekend of stag nights in Eastern Europe, can be complicated. From choosing your destination, to planning the best places to eat, drink, and take part in action-packed activities. But where do you start? Here are some important tips to help you plan your ultimate stag weekend.

First choosing your destination: preferably somewhere you or anyone in your party hasn’t been before, so you can enjoy a completely new experience. Look for a location that not only has a great nightlife but provides the kind of atmosphere you like: maybe you want a traditional pub atmosphere or you want to explore a range of clubs where you can dance the night away or enjoy a quality striptease or two. Think about the kind of experience you want. For example, Warsaw is an edgy city with a large dose of new, classy establishments where you can drink several types of vodka and take part in an array of activities.

Planning your itinerary is very important, firstly with where you want to stay. It can be difficult finding the right accommodation so it’s best to read up on hotels with good reviews for both service and food. Look for somewhere that is tried and tested and as central as you can get to all the action. You don’t want to be stuck in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do! For example, Riga (known as the “Paris of the North”) has a range of hotels both in the city and on the waterfront, providing you with stunning views to wake up with and feeling refreshed for the next fun-packed day.

When planning the rest of your weekend its best to get a guide. It should be someone who can show you the best places to eat and drink, where all the hot girls are and alternative things to do if you want to be spontaneous. Ideally your guide needs to be someone who is in the leisure and tourism business, has a very good knowledge of local areas, is enthusiastic and speaks good English. A guide can really help you to make the most of your stag weekend.

Your daytime activity is just as important as what you do at night. Again, it’s more fun to try something that none of your party has done before. Do you fancy trying a sauna party to get off to a relaxing start? Or maybe you want to go for the full adrenaline rush. Bratislava offers activities like off-roading where you can get behind the wheel of a 4×4 and tackle a course of extreme obstacles. Or you could get your hands on some powerful guns, such as a semi-automatic 9mm Luger or semi-automatic Scorpio, at a shooting range.

Nightlife is the most important element of a stag weekend. In Krakow, for example, you can experience the city at night with a guided pub-crawl. The concentration of pubs is so dense there’s literally a pub on every corner! The experience can be a varied one too, from having a pint with the locals at a small traditional pub or hitting a glamorous strip bar; Krakow has the lot.

With such a range of destinations, activities and languages to sift through it can be a long and complicated job. If you want the best advice, and to make your weekend truly unforgettable for all the right reasons, then you can speak to a professional company that has experience in organising stag weekends and can put together a package to suit your needs. They can provide simple things like transport from the airport to the hotel, also to and from your activities. With an established company you don’t need to worry about a thing, allowing you to kick back and relax or go wild.

Small But Perfectly Formed – Why Riga is the New Baltic Stag Capital

The 800-year-old Latvian city of Riga sits on the Baltic Coast, combining beautiful medieval architecture with lively, modern development. The Baltic capital cities have become a popular tourist destination since the fall of communism, with visitors heading to check out these beautiful medieval cities from all over the world.

South of Riga is Vilnius, Lithuania which is the European Capital of Culture in 2009. Surrounded by hills, it is one of largest cities in Europe and is rich in art and history. Tallinn, Estonia is much further north of Riga. Its industrial and cultural routes have grown thanks to its seaport, giving the capital solid links with Western Europe. Surrounded by palaces and quaint cobbled streets there is plenty to do and see, while being one of the regions party capitals, with a wealth of pubs and bars. But when you want the ultimate stag weekend in Eastern Europe, Riga is the place to be in.

Whether you visit in the breathtaking winter or come in the summer, where the days are long with a whole host of beach and outdoor parties, Riga is the place to be. Visually it’s beautiful. There are many buildings to see around the old town. There are parks, markets, churches and forests, but Riga also has a feisty side. One of the reasons that Riga is so popular with stag weekends is that there are such a variety of things to do.

There are many activities available during the day and most of them are perfect to help the stag party bond and get in the mood for fun: creating lots of naughty and nice memories of a stags last weekend as a free man. Pistol shooting is a firm favourite, where all the blokes can get their hands on guns that aren’t available in the UK, like the Russian Makarov and the Glock 9mm – perfect if you fancy playing and being Arnie or Stallone. You can also bring out everyone’s competitive side with an afternoon of Go-Carting or Clay Pigeon Shooting. For something completely different you can go Bobsledding on the longest track in Europe – guaranteed to get your adrenaline pumping and to take your breath away.

In Riga, you can mix a party atmosphere with pure relaxation. A sauna party is the perfect stag evening. What could be a more perfect way of combining drink and hot girls who beat you with dried birch branches? And if you fancy a more traditional stag evening then there are many sexy stripper clubs and bars to choose from with hot Latvian girls performing a range of table and pole dances.

With beer so cheap you can’t go wrong. When you can buy more than double the amount of beer for the same price in England, there is no reason to go anywhere else. But there’s not only the booze, you can get cigarettes, food, taxis and other essentials at extremely cheap prices. Finally, Riga Aqua Park is the perfect way to relax and recover from those hangovers. With a poolside bar you can drink at in the water, and a Jacuzzi, add some fun to the experience with a ride down the tubes and slides! Riga has it all to make your stag weekend truly unforgettable.

Hungry in Hungary? Why a Stag Weekend in Budapest Should Always Start With a Great Meal

It is worth knowing a few basics. …tterem is the generic Hungarian term for a restaurant, Vendéglõ is typically a small restaurant with a more traditional feel and Sörözõ is a beer hall or pub, which usually has just as wide a selection of food as any restaurant. These rarely have food in them, generally just booze halls The small buffet restaurants are a good bet for traditional food on the run, although you may need to take a risk or two when ordering from the Hungarian-only menus. However, as the food is usually on display, you should be able to get what you want with basic international sign language and any Hungarian you may pick up. Also, as restaurants are required to display their prices outside their doors, you always know what to expect to pay before you take the plunge.

For that main stag weekend meal with all your mates try the hugely popular (and for very good reason) Liszt ferenc ter – a square loaded with restaurants, bars and cafes. The leader is Menza, followed by Café Vian. Menza, in Liszt Ferenc Square, with its retro décor and large terrace, is one of the hottest spots for drinking and dining in Budapest. Anyone from business lunches to in-vogue celebs can be seen dining here, which also makes this a place to book ahead. The menu is filled with modern takes on traditional Hungarian dishes and most are surprisingly affordable considering Menza’s popularity. Also in Liszt Ferenc Square is Fresco, again great food with a great terrace, and Café Vian, with a guaranteed view of beautiful girls all summer long.

Baraka is the place to go for international cuisine. It is a quieter, more refined place to dine and you’ll need to book early to avoid disappointment. Another excellent bet is Tom George, one of the top restaurants in town, offering fantastic food in a sophisticated yet relaxing environment.

Budapest is a cosmopolitan city which boasts over 1,000 places to eat so you can find food from the four corners of the globe, all at much more affordable prices than you will find at home.

A few more recommended eateries are Ocean, which serves fantastic seafood in elegant surroundings, Portside – Cactus Juice’s more sophisticated brother. Cactus juice is good for big meat plates served with ice cold pints. Perfect for a stag weekend. If you are missing your Balti, try the Taj Mahal, a celebrated Indian restaurant with a modern décor and good music, or if it’s Italian you have come to Hungry for, wander down to Toscana on the river bank. For a bit of fun, Sir Lancelot offers up massive portions with a medieval theme, or Beckett’s, Budapest’s legendary Irish bar, serves decent pub grub and has a great sporty atmosphere – a natural home base for many a stag party, particularly during a big match. Carnivore? Head for Fat Mo’s Beer Hall and you’ll be served good-sized sizzling steaks by hot waitresses.

Of course, booking a table might be the least of your worries if you also need accommodation, transfers to the airport and don’t know the lingo. The best option is to use an established company who will sort out the whole stag weekend in Budapest with you – look for a company that will not only find you the best restaurants but will also find you a competitively priced hotel and help you arrange those all important pre- and post-meal activities. Bon Appétit or, as they say in Hungarian, Jó étvágyat!

Why Using a Professional Stag Weekend Organiser Guarantees a Good Time is Had by All

Eastern Europe is the clearly the market leader these days for stag weekends, with Budapest, Krakow and Riga particularly popular. These cities offer a wonderful cultural backdrop to the weekend, with historic streets, monuments and plazas to watch the girls go by.

More importantly, they have a huge array of bars, restaurants and great nightlife, so they are ideal whatever you are planning. And the cost of everything is that much cheaper than back at home – the average 500ml lager in Poland is £1.13, in Hungary it is £1.25. Fantastic, but keeping your mates happy on a stag weekend abroad in a country where you don’t know the lingo, the locals, the ladies or the top locations is another matter. How do you know which hotel is nearest the town centre and isn’t a fleapit? How do you get there from the airport into town and, more importantly, back at the end of the weekend so you don’t miss your flight? How can you avoid getting ripped off if no one speaks the language? How do you organise activities like paintballing and go karting from Britain? Where do you find the hottest chicks that will make the stag blush in a town you don’t know?

These days, lads are often looking for a stag weekend with a difference rather than just 48 hours of boozing and strip clubs (although that is a big part of the weekend of course!) Extreme sports are all the rage, with 4x4s, caving and quad bike action in the summer, and snow rafting and snow mobiles in the winter.

The big night out meal must also fit the bill, so top-notch restaurants are vital to kick start the evening, as is knowing where to go next for the best beers and the liveliest club scene. A decent place to crash in the early hours is key and nowadays stag parties tend to be looking for better than average accommodation which, thankfully, cities like Krakow and Budapest have aplenty.

Finally, there’s the transfer into town and back to the airport at the end of the weekend to consider. Simply put, it is so much easier if all this is arranged in advanced, leaving you with the maximum time to enjoy yourselves.

All in all, if you haven’t been before and don’t know the language, the best option is to use an established company in Britain who know the area well and can arrange some great deals for you. A reputable firm will sort out the whole stag weekend package in Eastern Europe with you – look for a company that will not only arrange the airport transfers but will find you the best restaurants, a competitively priced hotel and help you arrange those all important activities. A good company will book your high-adrenaline activities and stag dinners for you, as well as offer you a personalised nightlife tour, all tailored to your drinking needs, so you get the best from your short visit.
